The Founder’s Story

Hafna Family Farm was founded by Ms. Fatuma Humairah Mukiibi, a proud village girl who turned her humble beginnings into a lifelong mission to uplift her community. Having grown up in the very villages she now serves, Humairah understands firsthand the challenges of rural life — limited access to food, education, and opportunity.

Guided by her deep love for her people and passion for sustainable living, she began Hafna as a personal project — a place to reconnect with the land and inspire others to see beauty and potential in rural Uganda. Her vision soon evolved into a thriving community-driven farm that not only welcomes visitors but also supports local families, donates produce to orphanages through the Hafna Foundation, and promotes women and youth empowerment through practical, sustainable programs.

Today, Hafna Family Farm stands as a living reflection of Humairah’s belief that true progress grows from the soil of compassion, hard work, and shared purpose.
